Product Info
Cilest is an oral contraceptive combined pill which can be taken on the first day of your period to immediately provide almost 100% protection against unwanted pregnancies. It has also been shown to help reduce heavy or painful periods.
The two active ingredients are artificial oestrogen (ethinylestradiol) and progestogen (norgestimate), which together work to prevent pregnancy from occurring. The cervical mucus (at the neck of the cervix) thickens to stop sperm from entering, the womb lining is made thinner so an egg cannot attach itself and, most importantly, the egg is not released from the ovaries.
Benefits of Cilest
Cilest contraceptive pills are often prescribed to women who suffer from heavy or painful periods as it has been known to alleviate these problems. Apart from that the contraceptive can be taken on the first day of your period and give immediate protection.
